We are Winning in the Streets!

We are winning in the Streets! We now have five Pro-life Justices on the Supreme Court - Five! - Incredible!!

That's not all! Those five Pro-life Justices are all solid Roman Catholics! Again - Incredible! That means we have a Roman Catholic Majority for Pro-life causes in the Supreme Court.

Right from the beginning they made Justice Roberts the Chief Justice. The talk around town is that Chief Justice Roberts - a solid Pro-life, Roman Catholic - is the most brilliant legal mind in the world today!

If you were watching the hostile confirmations of Roberts in the senate, you will know that the hostile senators, try as they might, could not bring Roberts down. The Planned Parenthood people now tremble as Chief Justice Roberts and his beautiful team of Justices - with himself as Chief, and together with Justice Thomas, Justice Scalia, Justice Alito and Justice Kennedy begin their counterattack, if you will, against the pro-death senators in our efforts to stop the killing of our children. (NOTE: Justice Kennedy must not be confused with Senator Kennedy, who has fostered the legislative killing of more of God's children than all others put together. We must pray for him).

Knowing this, do we have just cause for celebration? Yes, indeed! Do we ever! It has been a long dry spell! - ever since 1973 - when Roe v Wade was passed. But we are now "winning in the streets"! Roe v Wade will be overturned! Chief Justice and his Supreme Court team will do this! They are working on it now. The "Culture of Life is overcoming the Culture of Death!!" Jesus Christ will defeat satan! Pope John Paul told us in Denver in 1993 that the outcome has already been determined - "WE WIN"! SATAN GOES INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE - FOREVER!" But before that event happens, Jesus tells us, "I will give satan extraordinary powers to give him a chance to prove his challenge to god that he, too, can be god!"

BUT THE DEMOCRATS, HOWEVER, ARE STILL KILLING OUR CHIL-DREN! BIG TIME! AT HOLOCAUST PROPORTIONS! (hitler was just bush league!) THE ABORTIONIST PARKING LOTS ARE STILL FULL TO CAPACITY. How does that affect our homes for Pregnant, unwed mothers? They will remain virtually empty so long as our government protects the baby-killers by thelegislation  of "state- sanctioned-killing!" We are now in the waiting period - waiting for the overturning of Roe v Wade when the unwed mother homes will be full to capacity and the abortionist's parking lot is empty.

Page 2

The abortionists see this coming. They see all the millions we have been giving them by way of our taxes - just frittering away in the wind with nothing but their tiny dead babies underfoot in the city sewage system - the beautiful babies who were flushed down their toilets.

They read about the national turning away from the surgical abortions. The Washington Post tells them that they can still "make a living" by chemical abortions. The abortionist requires three visits to be sure that no parts or infection is left in the womb. he can set the fee for the three visits that comes up to about the fee for a surgical one! The abortionist can now counsel the pregnant mom on one of these "visits" that she can now go home and have the baby on her living room rug! The young mom gets to say "good-bye" to her child amidst the warm fuzzies, and the doctor avoids the messy abortion in his killing room and still gets paid.

"THE DEMOCRATIC PLATFORM SUPPORTS THE KILLING OF GOD'S NEWLY CREATED CHILDREN - IF THE MEMBER CANNOT AGREE WITH THE KILLING OF HELPLESS CHILDREN, HE OR SHE IS ASKED TO LEAVE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. I KNOW! I WAS ONE OF THOSE WHO WERE ASKED TO LEAVE THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY - FOR THAT REASON!

Our beloved Country still allows this "state-sanctioned-killing." It has done this for the last 35 years  against  our  children.  Evil  now

abounds in the Culture of Death as the result of the dominance of satanic influence in the media, in the colleges, and in the governments. We are a Spirit-led group, dedicated to raising the consciousness of Catholics to an understanding of the reality of the killing of our innocent children at the abortion centers (over one-third of us have been annihilated since Roe v Wade.) Thank God, our powerful and compassionate holy father is determined to have the matter of life (at all stages) on the front burner during his "watch," and this is such an encouragement.

As you know, we are at a turning point in our beloved country in the effort to stop the killing of pre-born children. A strong and faith-filled President is leading us. Fr Norman U WeslinThose of us who have been in the pro-life movement for years have never seen a more positive situation in favor of the Culture of life in the Judicial Department. We have been working toward this end since 1973, when the Supreme Court gave us "state-sanctioned killing" of our helpless children.

PRAISE GOD
I have always had a sense of the sanctity of life that all life is sacred. for that reason I never went to my doctor requesting contraception. I struggle like everyone else and I am not perfect. I am now experiencing a crisis pregnancy, one that was not planned, and I am not married. however, this is God's baby that I carry in my womb, and this is how I view my pregnancy. Acknowledging my mistake to God and to my family and my friends, I was then faced with a crucial decision. Do I keep my child or give my child up for adoption. Abortion was never a choice for me.

What I have discovered since I moved and started volunteering at Gabriel's Corner Crisis Pregnancy Center is an alarming rate of women in danger. Women impregnated by men who are violent and threaten them if they choose to keep their child. Women who choose to become pregnant over and over again by different men. This crisis pregnancy center is an ark, a God-send in our crazy world. At Gabriel's Corner the counselors are faced with the overwhelming, at times, and daunting task of helping these women to get out of their self-destructive behavior patterns -a tall order. If the woman chooses to keep her baby she usually has to get an order of protection against the often angry and violent father. There are many other women  that  we  help  who  are  pro-life  and  have

already chosen to keep their babies. We also have married couples who come for help. for a single mother and her baby this world is no longer a safe place.

My experience at Gabriel's Corner has opened my eyes to a social dynamic that I did not know existed before. I am older than most women in my position, and I already have my college education. In some ways even I have lead a sheltered life. I do not counsel women because my pregnancy is also a crisis pregnancy. I simply show them my ultrasound pictures and tell them my story while they are waiting for a counselor. I witnessed a woman who was pro-abortion change her mind and keep her baby. She has since requested an ultrasound at Gabriel's corner. The ultrasound is done by a nurse or trained technician and is provided free of charge. All of the services provided to women in crisis at Gabriel's Corner are free of charge. Other places charge for pregnancy tests and other services. So this makes Gabriel's Corner unique. Regardless of age, a crisis pregnancy is always scary for the woman. my small sacrifice to move for my baby and myself has been rewarded in ways I cannot put into words. God in his goodness has forgiven me through the holy sacrament of confession, and he has also blessed me above and beyond my hopes and expectations. I have my own apartment in a warm loving environment, and I am happier than I could ever have imagined, considering my situation is a crisis situation. The moral support and the continued financial support of the Mary Weslin Homes has been providential. These exceptional people have

Page 4

helped to foster the good environment I now enjoy and that is priceless.

My first desire when I learned I was pregnant was to keep my child. however, considering my circumstance I chose to pray for discernment and to get counseling regarding what would be in the best interest for my child. Between prayer and counseling which took three months, I made the final decision to keep my child. In the process of discerning what to do I learned a lot about open adoption, and adoption is an excellent choice for any mother in my position. Open adoption allows you to remain in touch with the loving adoptive parents that you get to choose and allows you access to frequent photos and reports on your baby. When I thought about adopting my baby I cried and could not be consoled because adoption felt like a death to me. I have always wanted to get married and have children, and I have always loved children. I discerned that God has blessed me with this child and has given me an opportunity to be the best mother I know how to be.

Since I decided to keep my child I am now full of a joy that I cannot put into words. I have picked up some part-time jobs and with that money I shopped for my child in a very thrifty manner. I now have the bassinet assembled and ready, the crib and mattress and changing table are ready. I have basic necessities on hand such as a beginning supply of diapers, baby first aid kit, baby clothes. I already purchased my baby tub, baby swing and baby mobile for the crib. I also purchased a baby gym for tummy time.

Baby bottles are ready for use along with some infant formula on hand in case my plans to breastfeed do not work out. It feels good to be able to provide for my child and this is something I am committed to doing. I applied for every public service possible and was amazed at what I qualified for. I am taking prepared childbirth classes, and I will be taking ongoing parenting classes as my child grows and develops.

In my sixth month of pregnancy my doctor captured my baby with a beautiful smile on the ultrasound. I have been showing this ultrasound along with my other ultrasounds to other women in crisis. I love my baby, I sing to my child everyday. I thank God for the gift of motherhood and I pray for a healthy baby and for my childbirth experience to go well. my child can hear my voice as evidenced by the ultrasound in the 6th month. my doctor said, "Your baby is not posing today with a big smile," and in my mothering voice full of love, I talked to my child and said "That's OK, you don't have to pose. I love you anyway." After I said that my child smiled the most beautiful smile and it was captured on the ultrasound. my doctor was as much in awe as I was. I have been over the moon ever since. Thank you for your prayers and your support. Were it not for your prayers and continuous financial support, my story would not be possible. my child also thanks you, though he cannot say thank you yet. I know that my baby appreciates having a happy mother to be.

God Bless you all,
"Anne" (pregnant Mom)

Gabriel's Corner CPC - Providing Hope

At Gabriel's Corner Crisis Pregnancy Center we finished the year, kind of like the same way we started... helping pregnant moms and their babies...

As a matter of fact, just before Chistmas, Divine Providence provided us with an opportunity to help one of our previous moms, who happened to drop-in to see us. She had just gotten out of work and said she needed a few dollars to buy gas for her car, to make it home...I could tell that she had a lot on her heart, as she struggled to tell us about the events of her life, since delivery of her child just four months earlier. her husband was out of work recuperating from surgery from health issues that had plagued him since his return from serving in Iraq. The military covered the cost of the medical care, but in the meantime they struggled living off of her income until it came to the point that she could no longer work, due to her pregnancy. The bills mounted and the mortgage didn't get paid. furthermore, due to their poor credit, they could not find anyone who would rent to them. They faced eviction and homelessness.

We gave her a few dollars, and agreed to meet with her and her husband to discuss their situation. This was indeed a mom in crisis. She had been to Gabriel's Corner, received an ultrasound, and we helped her with clothing items. She carried her baby to term and was now back at work,  but  little  did  we know of the trauma, and

the sacrifices that were made along the way. The family was on food stamps, but the very next morning one of our warm hearted counselors went food shopping and brought them a generous supply. A donor provided gas money, and we worked with a landlord to get them adequate housing. We found someone to pay their first month's rent, and we covered the utilities. her husband said that he was ready to go back to work but had not been able to find a job. We found an employer in need of his skills and he was hired! he needed a second car to go to work, and we found a used vehicle that served the purpose. furthermore, another one of our warm hearted counselors talked to some of her coworkers who decided they wanted to adopt a family for Christmas. You guessed it, our family was given several Christmas presents to boot...

God is good! Not all of our stories are this successful, but it's fun to watch God at work through us when we are willing to let him. I've read recently that for many of us, the world we now live in has become a "contaminated atmosphere of a materialistic and easy-living society"... In other words, we have it pretty easy, but because we've become "So Comfortable" we often fail to recognize or respond to the needs of our brothers and sisters. I once heard Pope Benedict XvI say: "The world offers us comfort, but we were not made for comfort. We were made for Greatness!" In his recent encyclical, "SPE SALVI", which means "SAVED BY HOPE", the Pope reminds us all, that we have indeed been saved by hope, and that each of us shares the responsibility of bringing this hope  to  others.  We  at

Gabriel's Corner, in conjunction with The mary Weslin homes are committed to bringing HOPE, particularly to pregnant moms, and their unborn children. We encourage all of you to step beyond the comfort zone, and continue to support the gift of life, by supporting your local Crisis Pregnancy Center and The Mary Weslin Homes for Pregnant unwed mothers...

           CARRY CROSS

"Little children,
let us love in deed and in truth and not merely talk about it."

1 John 3:18

The Mary Weslin Homes for Pregnant, Unwed Mothers assists women in crisis during and after their pregnancy. We provide a safe haven that cares for each mother's basic needs, such as food, shelter, counseling, spiritual guidance, friendship, and doctors' and hospital care. We are not a government or church sponsored institution, but a non-profit ministry. We are an average, private, Catholic home with a Christian family atmosphere. During their stay we assess each woman's individual goals and future needs. Through our love and support, we can place the young mother back into a competitive society after her baby is born.

Lenten Pro-Life Prayer

Lenten Prayer

Lent is a season of repentance, which leads to life. Priests for Life urges all Christians to join us in saying the Lenten Pro-life Prayer, and making a special commitment to help others to see and defend the dignity of every human life, starting with the unborn.

Father of all mercy,
We thank you for this season
of grace and light.
We know that sin has blinded us.
Draw us ever closer to you,
in prayer and penance.

Since you, O God, are light itself,
Give all your people a clearer understanding
Of what is sin, and what is virtue.

Grant in particular that we may see,
as never before,
The profound dignity of every human life,
Including the vulnerable unborn children.

Give us grace to defend
Our brothers and sisters in the womb
By our prayers, our words,
And our self-sacrificing actions.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.
